Chapter 125

Chapter 125: Delicately Painted Crimson Beauty Dances in the wind (Part 2)

The drums sounded deep and resonant, the bells jingled softly.

And so, a nameless emotion stirred within him, slowly being drawn away, leaving him somewhat dazed and

heavy-hearted. Si Cang Qing stood there, silently observing this desolate dance, a far cry from the allure and

captivating charm of yesteryear.

His lithe body spun lightly. He danced with abandon, the world fading away, only the two of them remaining.

Suddenly, he stopped. The delicate bell jingling grew more rapid, the red figure spinning swiftly, circle after circle.

Only the fluttering of his robes, the soaring flight of his long hair, could be seen. Just as one thought he was

about to ride the wind and depart, his figure abruptly stopped. With a flick of his sleeves, the drums thundered…

making the hearts of all who heard them tremble.

The dance abruptly ended.

The sound of the drums seemed to still echo in his ears, long and lingering, wave after wave, resonating in his

heart.

Slowly withdrawing his hands and standing still, Cheng Tian Yang stood quietly in the center of the hall, the

orange firelight casting a faint blush on his face. His breathing was slightly rapid; his eyes were lowered, a faint

smile playing on his lips, a stray strand of hair falling loosely in front of him, swaying gently.

Silence.

Just then, the evening breeze accidentally bumped against the windowpane, making a creaking sound.

“Heh,” Cheng Tian Yang chuckled softly, then looked up, his gaze fixed on Si Cang Qing, who was about half a

zhang away. The man was also intently watching him. “Your Majesty…”

After calling out, he gracefully walked towards Si Cang Qing, stopping before him. “Did Your Majesty enjoy

this dance?” A smug smile played on his lips. Without waiting for a reply, Cheng Tian Yang stepped forward

and wrapped his arms around Si Cang Qing’s neck. “Our first meeting was when I danced and you watched.

Now, as we part…”

“I will bid you farewell with another dance.”

Si Cang Qing watched silently, listened quietly, but never uttered a word.

Waiting for no response, Cheng Tian Yang also fell silent, simply gazing into those cold, unfeeling eyes, like a

deep, unfathomable pool. Finally, he slowly lowered his head, leaning against Si Cang Qing's shoulder, and

sighed softly, "I thought His Majesty would like my dance, but you didn't say a word."

While dancing, he had been transported back to the past.

That day, the court officials gathered, and the banquet seemed exceptionally lively. He peered from the shadows

at the silent young man at the noble seat, his cold face and icy eyes making one afraid to be presumptuous. He had

thought then, if such a person could capture one's heart, wouldn't everything in heaven and earth be within reach?

Having spent many years mingling in the world, losing interest in all things, that was the first time he felt a

hunting desire rise within him.

At this thought, Cheng Tian Yang couldn't help but curve his lips. Now that he thought about it, they had known

each other for two years. In this period that felt neither long nor short, all the past had long since faded away.

They were neither husband and wife nor friends. From their initial scheming and guardedness, they had evolved

into complete trust and... concern for one another. Yet now, they faced parting.

“This parting,” Cheng Tian Yang murmured suddenly, his voice low, “I wonder when we might meet again.” He

knew that given Si Cang Qing's nature, unless something truly urgent arose, he would likely never set foot

in Hongcheng again for the rest of his life!

A flicker of melancholy stirred within him.

He broke into a sudden smile, banishing the lingering emotion. Cheng Tian Yang snapped his head up to look at

Si Cang Qing, his tone tinged with playful reproach. “Your Majesty, I beg you—please don’t be so sullen all the

time, okay? Look at me, talking myself hoarse, while you won’t utter a single word, standing stiff as a wooden

post!” "

“What is it?” Si Cang Qing complied, reaching back to gently encircle the other's waist. With a slight tug, he

guided him down onto the soft chair.

Hearing this, Cheng Tian Yang glared at him in mock anger, straddling his thighs. “You stubborn fool!”

Seeing Cheng Tian Yang's slightly flushed cheeks, his wide eyes filled with a gentle, alluring light, devoid of any

intimidation, Si Cang Qing suddenly tightened his arms, his lips slightly parted, and lightly kissed

Cheng Tian Yang's lips, savoring the taste.

Si Cang Qing hadn't been deliberately silent; he simply didn't know what to say. Cheng Tian Yang had declared

his intent to leave, and Si Cang Qing could see the resolve beneath his playful demeanor. Though a hint of

displeasure stirred within him, he didn't wish to force the matter.

If this man wished to ‘return home,’ he would grant him that wish.

“Mmm...” Cheng Tian Yang melted into his embrace, eyes tightly shut.

The kiss deepened gradually. Their lips remained fused together for an eternity, exchanging breaths in an intimate

exchange. Only after a long while did they part, both panting.

“Your Majesty,” Cheng Tian Yang murmured softly, “Carry me to the side hall...”

Responding to the request, Si Cang Qing abruptly lifted him horizontally and strode purposefully toward the

inner chambers. Along the way, Cheng Tian Yang remained far from idle, one hand slipping beneath the other's

robes, teasing lightly yet insistently.

The canopy curtains fell.

"Tonight, let me serve you..." Cheng Tian Yang breathed seductively, his body pressed tightly against the other's,

and he began to wriggle slightly, rubbing against him gently. His hand, which had been inside the other's clothes,

slowly wandered before being withdrawn.

Si Cang Qing did not resist the other's temptation. His arms suddenly tightened around the other's waist, and his

other hand slipped inside the gauze robe. With a slight pull, the already loose garment slid down lightly...

The summer night was filled with the chirping of insects, some melodious and far-reaching, others lingering and

tender. A gentle breeze swept by, stretching out the ambiguous murmurs and soft breaths, accompanied by a

sudden midnight rain, striking the hearts of lovers.

The rain, after its rapid rush, became a drizzle, eventually ceasing.

Inside, a lingering, intimate atmosphere remained. The tent was filled with the sounds of their intertwined breaths.

“Your Majesty…” Cheng Tian Yang lay languidly on top of Si Cang Qing, his fingers twirling the man's hair, his

voice slightly hoarse, yet uttering ambiguous words, “Did you…like it just now?”

Si Cang Qing remained silent as usual, only gently stroking the man's bare back, occasionally kissing his smiling,

amorous eyes. After a moment, he tried to get up, wrapping one arm around Cheng Tian Yang's waist and lifting

him into his arms.

“Where are you going, Your Majesty?” Cheng Tian Yang turned and pressed against him, preventing

Si Cang Qing from leaving.

Glancing at him, Si Cang Qing said calmly, “To clean up.” Both of them were sticky and uncomfortable.

“Wait a moment…” Cheng Tian Yang drawled, wrapping his arms around the man. “Your Majesty, I want to talk

to you first.”

Slightly puzzled, Si Cang Qing didn't insist, and pulled the man back into his arms.

With a slight smile, Cheng Tian Yang adjusted his position in the other's arms, and only after settling comfortably

did he softly ask, “Does Your Majesty like me?”

Upon hearing this question, Si Cang Qing, unable to see the other's expression, paused his hands that had been

roaming over the supple body. After a long pause, he finally responded with a faint, "Mm."

With a silent laugh, Cheng Tian Yang propped himself up, his body hovering above the other man. He looked

down at the man's face and asked again, "Do you like my brother? And Qiu Ping Tian, and Feng Lan, do you like

them all?"

Looking at the other man's calm eyes with confusion, Si Cang Qing didn't understand what he wanted to say, but

simply replied again, "Mm."

"Heh," Cheng Tian Yang chuckled softly, his other hand slowly moving to the chest of the man beneath him, his

fingertips teasing him gently until he reached the heart and abruptly stopped. He said, "Your Majesty, do you really

like me? Do you really like my brother and the others?"

Si Cang Qing didn't speak again, only looking at him with probing eyes.

Seeing the confusion in his eyes, Cheng Tian Yang suddenly lost all strength, collapsing heavily onto him without

caring if he was crushing him. He muttered irritably, “You fool!”

Restling against Si Cang Qing's chest, Cheng Tian Yang closed his eyes, listening to the steady and powerful

heartbeat, and stopped pretending, saying softly, “Your Majesty, you mustn't be so kind to others anymore!"

"This isn't a good thing; it will only make many people sad."

Hearing this, Si Cang Qing asked calmly, “What do you mean?” He truly didn't understand what the man was

saying, much like the similar words Cheng Tian Yang had spoken before the imperial consort ceremony.

With a helpless sigh, Cheng Tian Yang carefully explained, "When you married me, Feng Lan was heartbroken,

wasn't he? Because no one can bear to see the person they love with someone else."

"Why?"

Hearing this, Cheng Tian Yang suddenly looked up, seeing his indifferent expression, then lowered her head and

bit his neck hard, urgently asking, "If I were to find another man to do what we just did, what would you do?"

Slightly startled, recalling their passionate encounter, Si Cang Qing's eyes suddenly turned cold, and a chilling

aura emanated from him.

Seeing his reaction, Cheng Tian Yang chuckled, "Fool!" Then he returned to the main point, "I don't know why

you don't understand these things at all… I know you're not the kind of heartless person, but your actions have

unintentionally broken many hearts. Like Feng Lan, like my brother, like Qiu Ping Tian… even Qi Shuangran…"

Lowering his gaze, Cheng Tian Yang spoke softly, "That time in Hongdu, Qi Shuangran went so crazy, even

trying to kill you and me… it was because of this kind of emotion."

"So," Cheng Tian Yang chuckled, a hint of deeper meaning in his voice, "you shouldn't have done those things

with me just now, because it hurt the person you love."

"Your Majesty… the reason I'm telling you this is because I truly don't want anyone else to appear in your life…

that would cause many people pain. Now, do you understand what I mean?"

The quiet night, the low murmur of their conversation, was partially muffled by the gauze curtains.

After a long while, Cheng Tian Yang finally stopped speaking.

Si Cang Qing remained silent, his fingers unconsciously tracing the other's earlobe. Something vaguely understood

suddenly became clear… He was inherently intelligent, but he had never liked this kind of emotion or concept.

No one had told him these things, and he had never pondered them deeply.

It wasn't until Cheng Tian Yang explained things to him that he finally understood…

Cheng Tian Yang spoke again, saying, “Your Majesty won't blame me… I haven't told you these things.” Because,

ultimately, he had his own selfish motives.

Si Cang Qing simply tightened his arms around him, saying calmly, “It's not your fault.” It was his own mistake…

but no matter what, Feng Lan and the others were his wives, and that fact would never change.

With a soft sigh, Cheng Tian Yang nestled in the other's arms, whispering, “Then, Your Majesty, do you still want

me now?” As he spoke, his hands began to tease again, and without waiting for a reply, he flipped over and

straddled Si Cang Qing, his voice unusually soft, “Your Majesty, take me one more time!”

Just this once, let him completely succumb!
