Chapter 41

Chapter 41: Don't Worry in the Misty Rainy Season (Part 1)

"Immortal, are you leaving?"

In the old woman's house where Si Cang Qing was staying, many villagers had gathered inside and outside, all

watching the beautiful man with reluctant expressions.

He smiled slightly, opened and closed his lips twice, and finally said: "I am not an immortal, just a doctor. I have

troubled the villagers to take care of me over the years."

The voice was rough and harsh, like a rotten wooden door, creaking when blown by the wind, mixed with unclear

noises - everyone was stunned for a moment. A few quickly recovered, while others couldn't help but frown, their

expressions a mix of bewilderment and curiosity.

For a moment, the people who were originally chattering away fell silent. It was somewhat awkward, but the heir

of the Divine Doctor remained calm, as if he had anticipated people's reactions, and simply maintained a faint

smile.

Actually, it's nothing much. It's just that his voice is too unpleasant, making people very uncomfortable. Most

people wouldn't give someone a side-eye just because of their strange voice; it's more often a surprise or

confusion, or even pity.

For such a beautiful person, who would have thought they had such a voice?

The atmosphere was somewhat gloomy when Si Cang Qing suddenly spoke, his voice cold and clear, "We're

leaving." He glanced at the divine doctor, then turned to the villagers, "In a few days, a new village doctor will

come here."

This is his oversight; in this era, seeking medical care is a major challenge for ordinary people. This time, he

should invest more in training rural doctors, at least to ensure the basic health of the common people.

The words of Si Cang Qing sparked curiosity and excitement, and the villagers began to discuss it animatedly.

The "immortal's" strange and piercing voice was quietly forgotten by the people, whether intentionally or

unintentionally.

……

The carriage rattled along the official road, with three men sitting in the cramped space, making it a bit crowded.

The carriage jolted from time to time, causing the curtains to sway, and occasionally, wind carrying fine rain

would blow in.

Qiu Ping Tian's expression was gentle, his words tinged with concern as he looked at the beautiful man,

"Divine Doctor, are you alright?" The increasingly pale complexion made one feel a bit worried.

Originally pale, his face had now turned even more ashen. The heir of the divine doctor forced a smile, his tone

light and breezy, "It's nothing, thank you for your concern, young sir."

Glancing at the indifferent Si Cang Qing beside him, who was reading a scroll, Qiu Ping Tian asked, "May I

know how to address the divine doctor?"

The man paused slightly, his eyes showing a mix of confusion and sorrow, as if he had seen through everything

and was indifferent to it all. He suddenly smiled and said, "You flatter me, sir. I am no divine doctor. You may call

me... Tian, Mu TianBi." Then he gently asked, "TianBi does not yet know how to address you two."

Qiu Ping Tian's brows slightly moved, and he instantly regained his composure, smiling gently as he said, "My

surname is Qiu, and my name is Ping Tian. He..." he pointed to Si Cang Qing, "you can just call him Qing Di as

I do."

TianBi, lightly smiling, nodded, "Qiu Di, Qing Di."

He let out a laugh, and Qiuping Tian's eyebrows raised slightly, "You... call me Qiu di?"

The person was taken aback for a moment, then gave a wry smile. As if recalling something, he sighed, "You're

only in your early twenties, right? I'm almost thirty. Calling you Qiu di isn't too much, is it?" Then, with a feigned

sly expression, "Or is it that Qiu di looks down on this elder brother?"

Qiu Ping Tian couldn't help but burst into a hearty laugh, sizing the other person up from head to toe. He had

thought that this man, with his ethereal and otherworldly appearance, would be a reserved and proud person.

However, to his surprise, the man's nature was quite gentle and sincere, with a smile that held a bit more sincerity.

"How could I dare? It's my poor judgment," he said.

In an instant, the once quiet carriage was filled with casual conversation between the two, while the light rain

outside added a touch of depth to the atmosphere.

"Did your foot get hurt, Qiu Di?" Tian Bi asked with concern. "Why don't you let TianBi take a look at it?"

"Almost all better, thank you for your concern, Brother Mu.” (Mu Xiong- 兄 Xiōng: elder brother) Looking at the

other person's still pale face, Qiu Ping Tian added, "But you, you don't look well..."

"It's nothing," the smile slowly faded, and TianBi's expression subtly revealed a hint of weariness, "Just an old

ailment, I feel a bit unwell when it rains."

It seemed like a sensitive issue, so Qiu Ping Tian wisely held his tongue and didn't ask any questions.

However, TianBi quickly shook off the mood and curiously asked, "May I ask where we are going now, and

where does your brother live?" His gaze fell on the silent Si Cang Qing beside him.

Si Cang Qing raised his eyes and glanced lightly, "Lianjing."

"Capital of the Canghuan Kingdom?"

"Yes," Qiu Ping Tian replied with a smile on behalf of Si Cang Qing, "The journey is a bit long, so Mu Xiong

will have to endure it for a few more days."

Shaking his head, TianBi withdrew his gaze from Si Cang Qing, "Nothing."

"Heh," sensing TianBi's gaze, Qiu Ping Tian smiled at Si Cang Qing, "Mu Xiong, don't mind, Qing Di's nature

has always been quiet and he doesn't like to talk. It's not that he is deliberately ignoring people."

"Where," TianBi said gently, "seeing how much Qiu Di cares for Qing Di, is he your biological brother?" With a

hint of nostalgia and sadness, "I also have a younger brother, about the same age as Qing Di, but unlike Qing Di,

he is not as calm. His personality is very lively and mischievous, a bit willful but very endearing."

Qiu Ping Tian looked at the other person, who seemed to be lost in thought, their eyes shimmering, "That younger

brother..."

"Heh," TianBi's face turned a bit red, "Sorry, TianBi lost composure." Then he fell silent, not saying anything

more.

TianBi moved to the window, lifted the curtain, and the light rain drifted gently. The carefree smile from before

was now nowhere to be seen, and he had once again become like the first time they met, so ethereal and out of

this world.

Qiu Ping Tian withdrew his scrutinizing gaze, sensing the eyes from the other side. He turned his head and saw Si

Cang Qing, who had unknowingly put down the scroll in his hand and was silently staring at TianBi.

◇Cang Huan◇Seven Palaces◇

The strong wind battered against the window, making a rustling sound.

Inside the room, the candelabrum was filled with red tears.

"Master," Feng Xiang quietly walked in and reported in a low voice, "A group of shadow guards is secretly

following us."

Si Cang Qing silently stared at the flickering candlelight, and after a long pause, he slowly spoke, "Don't pay any

attention to them."

Feng Xiang hesitated for a moment, "Master, those shadows don't seem like ordinary people's."

"Mm," Si Cang Qing slightly nodded, speaking slowly, "It's fine, don't let others discover their whereabouts."

Feng Xiang's eyes clearly showed some confusion, but he didn't say more, "Yes, master." He then retreated

silently.

"Qing di," Qiu Ping Tian looked at Si Cang Qing with interest, "Do you also think Mu TianBi is that person?"

Si Cang Qing looked at the other person indifferently and casually replied, "Hmm."

"Young Master Biyue," (碧月公子 bì yuè gōngzǐ - Jade/Blue Moon Young master) Qi Ping Tian savored the title

and said with a low laugh, "Why has the once-renowned Young Master Biyue, who was famous all over the world

more than a decade ago, ended up like this?"

A broken body, a damaged voice, and a faint sense of desolation…

"The royal family, truly a filthy place!" Qiu Ping Tian sighed inwardly, deep in thought, "Having seen him now,

he indeed somewhat matches the rumors about Young Master Bi Yue—handsome as a celestial being, unparalleled

in both literary and martial skills, broad-minded, straightforward, and gentle..."

"This kind of perfect person cannot be compared to his younger brother, who is now the most beautiful man in the

Three Kingdoms. Yet he has become like this, now only able to hide in the mountains and forests, barely

surviving."

Si Cang Qing listened silently, suddenly looked up, and asked, "What exactly happened to the Hongcheng royal

family back then?" Although he had heard of it, it was an old matter and he had never paid much attention to it.

Now that he had encountered someone who was rumored to have died back then, he naturally needed to clarify

the details. He couldn't allow any potential threats to remain by his side.

Hearing this, Qiu Ping Tian sighed deeply, "Actually, others don't know what exactly happened, they only

know..."

Another royal secret, who can fathom the filth hidden within?

Many years ago, what people most talked about in Hongcheng Kingdom was the two beauties of the palace, the

sisters sent by the Mu lian clan: Mu lian Xiang and Mu lian Yu. Among them, the younger sister, Mu lian Xiang,

was the emperor's favorite and enjoyed special favor for over a decade. During this time, she gave birth to the

first prince, Cheng TianBi, and the twelfth prince, Cheng TianYang.

Fourteen years ago, the eldest prince Cheng TianBi had grown into a handsome young man, his appearance was

even more stunning than his mother's. He was both civil and military, talented, but he was straightforward and

gentle, kind-hearted, and liked to make close friends. He was loved by the people and was known as "Prince Bi

Yue".

Among the older princes at that time, Cheng TianBi was most likely to be appointed crown prince. But fate

played a trick on people. The eldest prince's mother, Concubine Xiang, was found to have an affair with a palace

guard. The emperor was furious and Mu Lian Xiang was sent to the cold palace to await trial.

By then, Cheng TianBi failed to plead for his mother, so he formed a faction with his men and intended to force

the emperor to abdicate, but was discovered in time. The emperor was furious and had him thrown into a secret

cell.

The emperor handed the case of Mu Lian Xiang's adultery over to her sister, Concubine Yu Mu Lian Yu.

It was said that Concubine Yu, out of justice, killed her own twin sister with great pain. The eldest prince, who

was imprisoned at the time, was a very filial and benevolent man. Upon hearing the news, he went mad and died

in grief.

The secret prison of the palace was turned to ashes overnight.

People were all saddened that the world-famous Young Master Bi Yue was burned to death, his body torn into

pieces.

Emperor Hongcheng was very depressed after these two events. He drank and had fun, and no longer thought

about his ambitions. With the strength of the Hongcheng Kingdom, leading an army northward to destroy the

Canghuan was an easy task. However…

At that time, the emperor was disheartened and ignored Concubine Xiang’s youngest son Cheng TianYang.

However, Concubine Yu took pity on him because he was alone and helpless and adopted him. Today,

Cheng TianYang, the twelfth prince of Hongcheng State, has inherited the beauty of his mother and elder brother,

and is famous throughout the Three Kingdoms. Unfortunately, apart from appearance, he could not compare with

his brother in other aspects. Some people even said that he was able to survive under the most powerful Third

Prince by using his beauty to please men.

In short, whenever people talk about Young Master Bi Yue of that time, they all shake their heads with regret.

"Now, Young Master Bi Yue is still alive in the world," Qiu Ping Tian asked himself in surprise, "Who wants to

kill him? Could it be that someone knows..."

Si Cang Qing remained silent, but many doubts were resolved because of this. For example, why did the Divine

Doctor go to Hongcheng back then? That Divine Doctor was also a member of the Mu Lian tribe, presumably

intending to save the mother and son, Cheng TianBi, right? Later, the mysterious death of the Divine Doctor was

probably related to the Hongcheng royal family…

Recalling Qi Shuangran's speculation that day, Si Cang Qing is now about seventy to eighty percent certain.

Could Cheng TianYang really be unaware of everything? How could he possibly be grateful and sell out his body

for Cheng TianYi's ambition?

Unless he has his own schemes...

However, considering Cheng TianYi's suspicious nature, can he keep everything secret?

"Qing di," Qiu Ping Tian asked, "What are your plans?"

Si Cang Qing shook his head, "No plans." After all, that was a matter of another country's royal family, unrelated

to him. Unless in the future, Hongcheng Kingdom invades Canghuan, perhaps then he could use some of those

people...

"Master..."

But Feng Xiang suddenly came into the room, his tone slightly nervous, "Doctor Mu seems to be ill, the situation

is very bad..."

With a stern look in his eyes, Si Cang Qing quickly stood up and walked towards the next room.
