Chapter 42

Chapter 42: Don't Worry in the Misty Rainy Season (Part 2)

The person on the bed, with a restrained expression, seemed to be enduring immense pain. Their face was pale,

lips a bluish hue, and long eyelashes trembled slightly on their tightly closed eyes, exuding a sense of fragility.

Beads of cold sweat trickled down their forehead.

"This young master has suffered severe injuries, with damaged tendons and meridians, and his constitution is

extremely weak," the doctor said with a grave expression. "Even in summer, he cannot withstand even a hint of

cold."

Qiu Ping Tian frowned, looking at the man on the bed who was shrinking and trembling slightly. "Doctor, is there

any way to cure him?"

The doctor shook his head regretfully, sighed, "My skills are not up to par, there's nothing I can do. The old

injuries on this young man's body can only be managed by keeping him warm at all times. Although his life is

not in danger, one must endure some hardships, and..."

"The old man speaks frankly, I’m afraid he won't live long. Given the extent of his injuries, it is already a blessing

that he is in this condition now. It seems he was saved in time by a skilled healer, which is why he is still alive."

Si Cang Qing silently looked at Tianbi, and after hearing the doctor's words, he instructed, "Xiang, light the

stove."

Understanding Si Cang Qing's intentions, the doctor shook his head again, "It's useless. The young master's old

injury has relapsed, and the cold air originates from within. Even if we light a fire, it won't have much effect."

Hearing the doctor's words, Feng Xiang saw that Si Cang Qing showed no reaction and then stepped back to

prepare to find a heater.

After sending off the doctor, Qiu Ping Tian returned to TianBi's room. Seeing the situation inside, he was

momentarily taken aback and called out, "Qing Di, what are you doing?" He saw Si Cang Qing sitting

cross-legged on the bed, with the half-conscious TianBi weakly leaning against him.

Si Cang Qing didn't feel anything was wrong at all, "Using internal energy to drive away the cold for him."

Upon hearing this, Qiu Ping Tian's expression became complicated as he watched every move of Si Cang Qing.

He saw him half-embrace and half-support TianBi with one hand, while the other hand stroked the person's back,

seemingly performing some kind of technique. Although the night was deep, Qiu Ping Tian simply sat down,

guarding by the side, with no intention of speaking or leaving. He just stared intently at the two people on the

bed, his fingers unconsciously fiddling with the silver abacus at his waist.

In the stillness of the night, apart from the faint sound of wind and rain, there were occasional faint crackling

noises.

As Si Cang Qing continuously infused his true energy into Tian Bi, his complexion gradually improved, gaining

a bit of color, and the bluish-purple hue of his lips slowly returned to normal.

Feng Xiang lit the heater and the room became a little hot.

Qiu Ping Tian casually picked up a fan and occasionally waved it a couple of times, yet still had no intention of

leaving. He simply sat quietly, his head bowed in thought.

About an hour passed in the eerie atmosphere, and then Tian Bi let out a soft moan. The previously restrained

expression had already eased. Si Cang Qing then released him, helped him lie down properly, and got off the bed.

He left Feng Xiang to watch over him and then departed.

Outside the window, the light rain gradually stopped, and the sound of the night watchman could be heard from

time to time.

"Qing di, why are you so concerned about someone you just met?" Qiu Ping Tian followed Si Cang Qing to his

room and asked the doubts that had been bothering him for a while. Given Si Cang Qing's indifference, he

wouldn't even flinch if someone died in front of him. Why, then, was he now taking the initiative to use his

energy to dispel the cold for that person he had just met?

Concern? Si Cang Qing looked at Qi Ping Tian strangely, seeing the other person's odd expression, he slightly

furrowed his brows and simply replied, "I promised Lan to return to the capital soon."

After a moment of surprise, Qi Ping Tian suddenly realized, so it was…

If Cheng TianBi continues to be sick like this, it will definitely delay their return to the capital. No wonder...

Qiu Ping Tian, as if relieved of a heavy burden, relaxed his expression, feeling a mix of emotions. He gazed at

Si Cang Qing, his eyes shifting, and finally teased with a smile, "Qing di, you really are a considerate and good

husband!"

Spoiling the Crown Princess like this, not to mention that he is not a delicate little woman, even in an ordinary

couple, the husband wouldn't be so considerate.

With a thousand thoughts, but not daring to delve deeper, Qiu Ping Tian suddenly walked outside, saying,

"Qing di must be tired, rest early, I won't disturb you."

Because of TianBi's illness, they stayed at the inn for two more days before setting off again.

The continuous rainy season that had lasted for over a month was also coming to an end, with only occasional

light rain.

The carriage before him was unlike the simple ones from before; it was much more luxurious and spacious.

TianBi was slightly taken aback, turned to look at Si Cang Qing who was riding the horse, and asked in

confusion, "Qing Di, aren't you going to ride in the carriage?"

Si Cang Qing glanced at him indifferently and replied, "Hmm."

Since the weather had improved, he no longer felt so fragile that he needed to hide inside the carriage.

Not wanting to ask too many questions, TianBi nodded and lifted the carriage curtain, just as he was about to step

up. However, he suddenly felt a wave of warm air rushing towards him, penetrating deep into his heart. He

paused abruptly and turned to look at the young man proudly riding the horse. The man's expression was as cold

and stern as ever, gazing into the distance.

The feeling surging in my heart is hard to describe. TianBi didn't say much and simply turned around to sit inside

the car. After taking a look around, he found the interior very comfortable. It must be because of his recent illness

that the person had made such special arrangements!

At that time, although he was half-conscious, he vaguely felt someone holding him in their arms, and then a warm

current spread from his back, flowing into his heart and permeating his bones, gradually driving away the

unbearable cold.

Tian Bi looked at the stern young man in front of the car, a faint and sincere smile appearing on his face. Perhaps

that person was not being particularly attentive for his sake, but nonetheless...

The warmth in his heart was real.

◇Cang Huan◇Seven Palaces◇

The south wind blew gently, and the vast water surface was slightly undulating with waves. Occasionally, a small

boat would sail away in the distance.

Si Cang Qing stood on the Nanjiang embankment, looking down at the surging river water beneath his feet, and

then looking at the laborers coming and going from time to time. Some of them carried hoes on their shoulders,

and some wheeled shovels, chatting and laughing as they patrolled the embankment.

"The water level has risen quite a bit this year," Qiu Ping Tian said as he stood beside Si Cang Qing and looked

at the water, "but I haven't heard of any flooding."

"Mn." Si Cang Qing responded indifferently.

Following Si Cang Qing's gaze, Qiu Ping Tian saw the flood prevention workers and smiled knowingly. He

stepped forward and said, "Brothers, are you guys doing flood prevention?"

"Yeah, even though the flood season is over, we still can't relax..."

The several laborers started chatting at once, pointing at the straw bags not far away, "Thanks to His Highness

the Crown Prince's efforts last year, the county officials don't dare to slack off anymore. They prepared these earth

mounds before the flood season and placed them in several vulnerable spots for defense."

"Has there been any danger this year?"

"No," a black man laughed heartily, "the levee we've repaired is very solid now. The water was really fierce a

while ago, and everyone was quite worried, but in the end, nothing happened."

After joking with a few people for a while, Qiu Ping Tian returned to Si Cang Qing's side, a hint of joy at the

corner of his mouth. "Qing di, I think we can leave with peace of mind now!"

Nodding, Si Cang Qing turned and walked towards the horses.

Walking at the back, TianBi looked at the departing laborers, then turned to Si Cang Qing, deep in thought.

"Qiu Di, you are not ordinary people, are you?" Standing by the window, looking up at the deep blue night sky

filled with twinkling stars, TianBi suddenly asked faintly, with Qiu Ping Tian standing behind him. Ever since

he fell ill that day, Qiu Ping Tian and the guard named Feng Xiang had been taking turns looking after him.

With a bitter smile, TianBi sighed inwardly. Even though he didn't want to trouble others, he couldn't refuse,

simply because his body was too weak, and a moment's carelessness could cause old injuries to flare up again.

As they got closer and closer to the capital, he never asked about the identities of these people. He just had a

vague feeling that they were not ordinary people. Until that day, when Si Cang Qing made a special detour to the

Nanjiang embankment, he began to have some guesses in his mind.

It stands to reason that someone who would be subjected to the Heart-Devouring Gu is certainly not an ordinary

person.

Feeling somewhat uneasy, after all, his identity...

The voice with a hint of a smile came from behind him, and he heard Qiu Ping Tian reply, "Mu Xiong, you are

indeed wise beyond measure, and your younger brother is truly extraordinary. We are about to reach the capital,

so it is no longer appropriate to conceal it. Your younger brother is none other than the Crown Prince of the

current Canghuan Kingdom, and Si Cang Qing is his full name..."

Slightly surprised, TianBi turned around and saw that the other person was not joking. He sighed, "I originally

thought you, Qing Di... The Crown Prince was some kind of high-ranking official or noble. I didn't expect it to

be... "

"Then, Qiu Di..."

"Qiu Ping Tian is my real name," Qiu Ping Tian smiled, "Mu Xiong has been living in the mountains for many

years, so he may not have heard of my name!"

After a moment of hesitation, TianBi thought about it and suddenly realized, "So you are the world's richest man,

Qiu Ping Tian?" Over the years, he has not been involved in worldly affairs, so he knows very little about the

outside world. Although he has heard the name Qiu Ping Tian, he has never paid it any mind.

TianBi looked a little nervous.

Qiu Ping Tian smiled knowingly and said, "Your Highness knows that Mu Xiong is a person who does not

concern himself with the mundane world, so this time we are inviting you to treat the Emperor in secret. No one

else will know. When the time comes, you will stay in the Crown Prince's East Palace, which is both convenient

and discreet."

After a slight sigh of relief, TianBi shyly smiled and said, "I'm really sorry to trouble you, Your Highness."

"How could it be?" Qiu Ping Tian smiled and shook his head, just about to say something when he heard a

commotion outside. He hurriedly got up and walked to the window, "What's going on?"

In the courtyard, a dozen men in black were surrounding Si Cang Qing, fighting him, while on the other side,

several people were also entangled with Feng Xiang.

"This," Qiu Ping Tian frowned and turned to TianBi and said, "Mu Xiong, hurry up..." Before he could finish his

words, several dark shadows broke through the door and held them hostage in an instant.

"Who are you?" Qiu Ping Tian calmed himself down and looked at the man in black coldly.

Those people didn't say a word, grabbed him and TianBi, and flew away. Qiu Ping Tian anxiously watched as

another group took TianBi away.

At that moment, a nonchalant yet strangely familiar voice rang out, "Tsk tsk, even Young Boss Qiu has such a

difficult time!"

That person effortlessly dealt with the black-clad assailants while muttering to himself. Qiu Ping Tian couldn't

help but find it somewhat amusing. Seeing Si Cang Qing, who was entangled, he immediately composed himself

and spoke with a hint of urgency, "Seventh Young Master, hurry and rescue the person who was just taken away.

He is very important to us..."

He was interrupted before he could finish his words. Qi Shuangran had already dealt with several people here

and said dissatisfiedly: "Why should I save that person? Humph, could it be Qingqing's new love?"

Not wanting to pay any more attention to Qi Shuangran, Qiu Ping Tian raised his voice and said, "Qing di,

Divine Doctor Mu has been captured by them."

Upon hearing this, Si Cang Qing spun around and disappeared from the encircling crowd, leaving only one

sentence: "Qi Shuangran, these people are yours to deal with. I owe you a favor."

Qi Shuangran was overjoyed, laughing seductively, and casually swung his long whip, shouting towards a certain

direction, "Qingqing, you said so yourself—"

Looking at those people in black, Qi Shuangran smiled sweetly, a bloodthirsty joy lingering at the corners of his

mouth. He was not like Si Cang Qing, who would show mercy. Today, these people should be offering a blood

sacrifice for his Void Whip.

Qiu Ping Tian, hiding to the side, was secretly terrified. This was the true face of the Seventh Young Master, the

one who made people turn pale at the mention of his name!

Arrogant, ruthless, bloodthirsty, like a reincarnated Asura.

Under the night sky, the laughing youth wildly wielded the cold whip, the moonlight intermittently casting a

silver glow on his figure, making him appear ghostly and enchanting.
