Chapter 151

Chapter 151: Frosty Laughter and Unending Passion (Part 1)

By the roadside, pavilions stood in rows, banners fluttering. The dimly lit street, shrouded in a hazy glow, was

filled with the sounds of horses neighing and people talking, a bustling scene of people coming and going.

His brows furrowed slightly as Si Cang Qing glanced sideways. At the entrance of each pavilion, heavily made-up

women gathered, laughing and joking, pulling at passersby. Without needing to ask, Si Cang Qing knew this was

a brothel. Looking again at the young man walking ahead, occasionally exchanging banter with the women, his

eyes suddenly turned cold.

Enjoying himself immensely, Qi Shuangran turned around, a smile playing on his lips as he glanced at the man

who had silently followed behind. "As Seventh Master I'm going to have some fun. What are you doing following

me?!"

Glancing at the three characters 'Qihonglou' on the plaque above the door, Si Cang Qing didn't reply. He simply

brushed aside the women who were about to cling to him and walked straight into the building.

Slightly startled, Qi Shuangran stood there, his expression uncertain, his arms around the women's waists

tightening abruptly.

"Ouch..." both women cried out, their faces pale.

Shaking off the women in his arms, Qi Shuangran's face darkened, and he strode into the building.

Si Cang Qing casually watched the decadent scene downstairs. Groups of well-dressed young men sat together,

frolicking with scantily clad women. On a distant table, groups of two or three young women, dressed in their

finest attire, swayed and danced seductively, humming softly.

At this table, the atmosphere was equally lively. Qi Shuangran, seated directly opposite him, was surrounded by

a group of women, some giggling, some feeding him wine. Si Cang Qing, however, remained calm and unaffected,

leisurely sipping his fragrant tea.

"Qingqing," Qi Shuangran kissed a woman's cheek, not even glancing at Si Cang Qing, and continued, "You

rarely come to a brothel, why are you drinking tea alone? You should enjoy yourself while you can..." With that,

he scooped another woman into his arms, his charming face close to her ear, his voice unusually soft, "With such

a beautiful woman in my arms, how can I waste such kindness?"

"Seventh Master..." The woman's body went limp, clinging to him as if boneless, "You really love teasing me."

Her eyes flickered to the young man sitting there, his face obscured, and she asked in a coquettish voice, "Is this

young master a friend of Seventh Master? It seems this is your first time at Qihong Brothel?"

Grasping the woman’s chin, Qi Shuangran shot a sidelong glance at the person sitting quietly across from him,

but addressed the woman in his arms: “Mi’er, you belong to me, Seventh Master, now. Don’t even think about

flirting with other men… As for him, he’s your Seventh Master’s servant, crude, ignorant, and clueless about the

ways of the world. Today, I’ll take him along to open his eyes a bit…”

"Heh, Seventh Master, you're so lucky. Even your servant is so extraordinary," the woman chuckled, winking at

the women on either side, and then beckoning to Si Cang Qing, "Since you've rarely visited my Qihong Pavilion,

you should certainly have some fun..."

As she spoke, the two women giggled and leaned towards Si Cang Qing. Qi Shuangran's eyes immediately

turned cold. Before she could react, the man slightly stepped aside, his sudden burst of coldness silencing everyone

in the private room.

Seeing the women's stiff faces, Qi Shuangran laughed heartily, his voice ringing out, "Tsk, Qingqing, you really

have no sense of romance, wasting the beauties' good intentions like this... Come on, ignore him, all of you sit

 over here with Seventh Master!"

Instantly, the women burst into laughter again, forgetting their earlier minor unpleasantness.

Holding the teapot, Si Cang Qing poured himself another cup. Looking up again, he saw the man opposite him

cupping the face of the person in his arms, about to kiss them.

Instantly displeased, without thinking, Si Cang Qing swung his hand. Qi Shuangran immediately pushed the

woman away, dodging the sudden, fierce palm strike. He glared at Si Cang Qing, shouting, "What are you doing?!"

Slowly withdrawing his attack, Si Cang Qing frowned and said calmly, "It's late, time to rest!" Inwardly, however,

he was surprised. That sudden emotion... it was unfamiliar. Was this the jealousy Tian Yang had spoken of?

Qi Shuangran stared intently at him, not as furious as Si Cang Qing had expected, but her expression was

strangely enigmatic. A moment later, he suddenly laughed, opening his arms to pull the women back into his

embrace. "Qingqing, don't forget, you are now my servant. I won't tolerate anyone interfering with my affairs!"

Si Cang Qing didn't argue. He simply stood up indifferently and walked towards the women, stopping in front of

Qi Shuangran. His gaze swept over each woman, and he said coldly, "All of you, leave!"

His icy voice made the women tremble. The woman who had been there earlier quickly realized what was

happening, keenly sensing the subtle tension between the two. She hurriedly exchanged glances, and without

even a polite word, the group broke free of Qi Shuangran and hurriedly ran away.

Stunned to see the women bow to him and then flee as if their lives depended on it, Qi Shuangran was now truly

enraged. Pointing at Si Cang Qing, he snapped, “You! You wretch… Don’t forget that your food and lodging are

all generous handouts from this sovereign!”

Looking at her calmly, Si Cang Qing said gently, "If you don't want me to shut down all the brothels in the land,

then go ahead and enjoy yourself."

"Si Cang Qing!" Qi Shuangran was so angry she lost all composure, pointing at him and cursing, "Shut them

down if you want, I can find any kind of man or woman I want! You…" His cursing abruptly stopped!

"Untie my acupoints!"

The night wind whistled past her ears. Qi Shuangran was stiff and unable to move as he was carried along the

rooftop of a house.

Si Cang Qing glanced at him, then turned his attention back to finding the inn.

"You!" Qi Shuangran was so angry that he tried to force his way out of his acupoints.

Sensing his intention, Si Cang Qing slowed his pace. He tilted his head slightly and gently kissed Qi Shuangran

on the lips. As he pulled away, he whispered soothingly, “I’ll untie you once we’re back in the guest room…”

Qi Shangran didn’t hear a word he said; he only felt that touch of tenderness on his lips. He stood frozen for a

long moment before suddenly snapping back to his senses, the night perfectly concealing his flushed cheeks. He

snapped, “You—you—you—you dare, you dare to make a pass at this Lord!”

The darkness also concealed the fleeting smile that flashed across Si Cang Qing’s eyes. He replied casually, “Why

wouldn’t I dare?” He could imagine that if this man were to regain his freedom right now, he’d immediately

become as fierce and vicious as a cat with its fur standing on end—one false move, and he’d be scratched by

those sharp claws…

“You, you…” That night, the man who had always been carefree and unrestrained was suddenly rendered

speechless.

Glancing at the small building not far away—their lodgings for the night—Si Cang Qing tightened his grip, then

lowered his head to kiss the man’s lips once more. A hint of tenderness melted into his cool voice, “We’re here.”

Back in Qi Shuangran’s room, the moment Si Cang Qing released his grip on the other man’s acupoint, he felt a

powerful palm strike hurtling toward his face. Having anticipated the attack, he dodged it with ease, calmly

parrying each move as he let the man vent his anger.

Hearing the chaotic sounds of a fight coming from inside the room, the innkeeper knocked nervously on the door

of the top-tier room and called out, "Sir, what's wrong?"

Si Cang Qing darted a step ahead to stand behind Qi Shuangran, wrapping his arms around him to halt his attack.

After waiting for quite a while with no further sounds from inside, the innkeeper hesitated for a moment, called

out to them, and then hurried away.

“Si Cang Qing!” Qi Shuangran didn’t struggle, but merely glared at him. “Don’t push your luck!”

Hearing this, Si Cang Qing stared at him in silence, saying nothing.

Feeling slightly uncomfortable, Qi Shuangran turned his head and nudged the person behind him, his voice stiff.

“Aren’t you going to let me go?! What, have you fallen for me?”

Si Cang Qing paused for a moment, then tightened his grip even further. His thoughts were somewhat chaotic.

Ever since he’d been following this person all day, aside from planning what he needed to do upon returning to

the capital, he’d also been pondering the situation between himself and Qi Shuangran… Now that he understood

certain things, he naturally had to face them head-on and resolve them.

…After much deliberation, the best course of action was to marry Qi Shuangran. Perhaps Lan and the others

would be heartbroken again? That was his fault; he wouldn’t shirk responsibility. However, before he understood

all this, he had already become entangled with the person standing before him. Regardless of how Qi Shuangran

felt about him, he knew he didn’t want to let her go. The flutter in his heart might not be as deep as what he’d felt

for Feng Lan, but he would never go against his own heart.

As for Mo Qing Jue…

“Hey,” Qi Shuangran stepped on the other person’s foot, “Aren’t you going to let go?!”

“Sorry.”

Si Cang Qing’s low apology made Qi Shuangran pause, then he looked probingly into his indifferent eyes, which

held the usual coldness, tinged with a barely perceptible emotion.

With a sneer, Qi Shuangran lazily replied, “What did you say?”

Both knew perfectly well that this apology was probably referring to the accident in Yancheng and the failure in

Hongdu. Qi Shuangran snorted again, speaking disdainfully, “You, a high and mighty emperor, actually feel sorry

for people?”

Si Cang Qing didn’t reply, only staring intently at him. His so-called apology was merely a necessary expression

of his attitude towards this person.

He never invested any more emotion in things that had already happened, such as guilt or regret. Therefore, even

knowing that he had hurt those he cared about, he wouldn’t waver.

The candle wick crackled, the flame flickering slightly, cutting through their intertwined shadows.

“Let’s get married!”

The sudden proposal stunned Qi Shuangran once again. His eyes widened, staring intently at Si Cang Qing’s cold

face. For a moment, he was speechless, only managing a bewildered "What?"

Si Cang Qing gently kissed the stunned man’s forehead. “Be my consort.” His voice was icy, offering no request,

as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

In Si Cang Qing’s view, since he understood this man’s feelings for him, and he himself was moved, and besides,

they were already husband and wife in de facto, marriage was the only logical thing to do. This was something

he only understood after Cheng Tian Yang had carefully explained it to him.

Past mistakes could not be undone, but with this man, there was now a chance to make amends.

"Si Cang Qing!"

The tranquility of the night was shattered once again. In the luxurious VIP room, furniture crashed to the ground,

and a man in white, wielding a ruthless whip, attacked the aloof young man with deadly precision.
