Chapter 152

Chapter 152: Frosty Laughter and Unending Passion (Part 2)

A dizzying sensation spun around him, his body slamming violently into something, then he was pinned down,

his hands bound. Qi Shuangran grew increasingly furious, pushing off with his feet to attack his opponent.

Si Cang Qing, however, remained unhurried, bending his knee to press down on the man's leg, clamping it tightly.

"Si Cang Qing, you…"

Qi Shuangran was enraged, glaring at the person on top of him, but the words he was about to utter caught in his

throat. He stared blankly at the smiling man so close to him, the dim candlelight illuminating his usually cold and

hard face with an unusual gentleness. This man's smile was truly faint, his tightly pursed lips slightly curved

upwards.

He had never seen Si Cang Qing like this before. His cold face, softened by the night, became strangely

captivating with that smile. His heart pounded, and Qi Shuangran barely managed to suppress the urge to kiss

him, only managing a nonchalant hum, "What are you laughing at?"

Si Cang Qing spoke again, his tone slightly softer than before, "Be my consort."

Watching the smile vanish in an instant, Qi Shuangran finally remembered the initial reason for their earlier fight:

this man's matter-of-fact statement about taking her as his consort. He couldn't tell if he felt anger, annoyance,

or… joy.

This time, however, Qi Shuangran didn't immediately erupt in anger as before. He merely scoffed, "Why should

I be your consort? Even if we were to marry, it should be you marrying me!" He then angrily added, "Who wants

to marry you? I have no interest in an old man like you!"

This was clearly a lie. Regardless of interest, Si Cang Qing was three years younger than him; he certainly didn't

deserve the label of 'old man.'

Staring at the person before him, Qi Shuangran grew increasingly frustrated. He, the dignified Palace Master

of the Piaomiao Palace, revered by all in the martial world, was constantly being driven to despair by this fool!

Whenever he encountered Si Cang Qing, his usually well-hidden temper would ignite instantly, causing him to

lose all composure and become a completely different person from the man's anger.

Silently observing the man's proud face, Si Cang Qing remained silent. He could sense that the other man wasn't

entirely as composed as he appeared. From Qi Shuangran's eyes, he still keenly caught a glimpse of panic and

embarrassment.

He understood Qi Shuangran's personality quite well. Now, thinking back, the other man had always helped him

in every way, even after their relationship soured in Yancheng, he still managed to send news in time during the

plague. So, this must be his affection, right?

Therefore, Si Cang Qing said for the third time, "Be my consort!"

Lying exhausted on the bed, Qi Shuangran simply gave up struggling completely. His expression relaxed,

regaining a touch of languor. He smiled ambiguously, "If you really insist..."

"I will reluctantly agree."

He quickly added, “But there’s one condition…”

Si Cang Qing raised an eyebrow slightly, waiting for the man to explain, but was suddenly shoved aside. His grip

loosened, and he found himself pinned beneath the other man. He made no attempt to break free; he simply stared

quietly at the smugly grinning figure, feeling the body pressing down on him rub slowly against his own.

“The condition is…” Qi Shuangran’s eyes sparkled with amusement, brimming with smug satisfaction. “Let me

have my way with you!” To put it bluntly, he had coveted this man’s body for many years… It had started as mere

curiosity, evolved into a desire for conquest, and eventually turned into an inexplicable flutter of the heart.

That encounter in Yancheng had left a lingering ache in his heart; to say he wasn’t at all pleased would be a lie,

though his frustration was even more evident.

With these thoughts in mind, Qi Shuangran’s fingers slowly traced the arm of the man beneath him, gradually

making their way to his chest. With a slight tug, the man’s shirt opened wide.

As the weather grew warmer, Si Cang Qing was already wearing very little, so with a few tugs from Qi Shuangran,

his top was pulled down nearly to his waist.

His gaze grew even deeper. Seeing that Si Cang Qing was simply gazing back at him calmly, Qi Shuangran’s

usually untamed expression softened little by little. His heart was racing. He pressed his body down forcefully, his

lips landing without hesitation on the other’s, his tongue deftly prying open the other’s teeth.

As this happened, Si Cang Qing’s arms were freed, and he responded to Qi Shuangran’s initiative, wrapping both

arms around the other’s waist and tilting his chin upward to return the passionate kiss.

They were lost in the heat of the moment.

But at the crucial moment, he was once again flipped over and pinned beneath the other man. Qi Shuangran

couldn’t catch his breath and began coughing violently. It took him a while to stop coughing, and then he felt

the other man’s hand gently stroking his chest, soothing his discomfort.

Unmoved, Qi Shuangran angrily rebuked, "You cheated! How could an emperor be so despicable, going back on

his word at the last minute!"

Hearing the accusation, Si Cang Qing remained calm, simply gripping the man's wrist with one hand while slowly

and deliberately removing his clothes with the other.

“Si Cang Qing, how dare you!”

He could have continued to use force, but he was growing weary of it. Every time he was with this person, it

seemed they spent their time fighting… It was truly frustrating!

But wanting to stop was one thing; seeing his clothes being stripped away almost entirely, Qi Shuangran flipped

his wrist to break free, then shifted his stance to kick at his opponent.

Si Cang Qing, quick as lightning, shifted his body to the left, using both hands and feet to press down on the man's

body once more. He saw Qi Shuangran's eyes glaring at him, round and wide, making him look even more like a

proud cat.

Qi Shuangran paused, staring at the smile this man had directed at her for the second time, and all her movements

came to an abrupt halt. He didn’t know why the other was smiling, nor did he have time to ponder it. He simply

gazed at the figure with half-slipped garments and disheveled hair, smiling so tenderly in the hazy night… His

heartstrings were plucked, and he couldn’t help but tilt his head back slightly, gently kissing the corner of the

other’s lips.

Everything that followed happened quite naturally, leading to a passionate entanglement that left them lost in the

throes of passion.

Behind the embroidered curtains, their bodies were entwined, swaying wildly with the flickering candlelight. By

the time the candle had burned to ash, the all-night revelry was quietly carried into the dreams of the sleeping

couple as the first light of dawn began to spill in.

"Feng Xiang greets Master!"

Since the sudden arrival of the hawk yesterday, Feng Xiang, who had stayed behind in Chaojiang to search, had

traveled all night. This place wasn't far from where Si Cang Qing had met with misfortune, and this afternoon he

finally reunited with him.

"How is the situation in the capital?"

Upon hearing this, Feng Xiang first reported in detail on the situation of Feng Lan and the others.

“…His Highness Qiu is in Luyang and is preparing to travel south in the next few days. The other consorts are

staying at the palace to assist the Grand Emperor with state affairs, under the pretext of accompanying Master on

the pilgrimage to pay respects to the Buddha.”

A commotion arose inside the room. Si Cang Qing didn't ask further, only instructing, "Prepare. We'll return to

the capital tomorrow or the day after. Have Qiu wait for me in Luyang."

He then turned and walked back into the room. Just as he stepped into the inner room, something flew straight at

him. Si Cang Qing dodged, catching the pillow in one hand. He glanced indifferently at the half-dressed man,

saying nothing, and simply walked over slowly.

Seeing the pillow in Si Cang Qing's hand, Qi Shuangran pursed his lips, making no further move, and quickly

began to dress… It was truly unusual to encounter this person. Recalling his earlier actions, he realized it was

merely an act of anger he couldn't suppress, grabbing something to throw at him in frustration, only to find it was

a pillow…

This behavior… it's so womanly!

Qi Shuangran, secretly sulking, abruptly stood up, but his legs gave way, and he slumped back down.

Tossing aside the pillow, Si Cang Qing sat down beside the man, looking at his gloomy face, wondering if he

should say something. After all, their last argument had been quite unpleasant.

“What are you standing there for?” Qi Shuangran suddenly broke the silence, leaning against Si Cang Qing, his

tone still tinged with anger. “Can’t you see I’m exhausted? Clothes!” He gestured with his chin, indicating the

clothes that had slipped to the floor.

Si Cang Qing bent down to pick them up and hand them to him, only to be glared at and told, “Help me get

dressed!”

Glancing at the man’s imperious manner, Si Cang Qing complied, shook out the clothes, and carefully helped

him put them on.

After getting dressed, Qi Shuangran snorted and glanced sideways at the other man. "Help me tie my hair... And

for breakfast, I want prawns, braised mandarin fish, and deep-fried quail..." he ordered a whole bunch of dishes

before adding, "If I don't enjoy my meal, marriage is out of the question!"

Si Cang Qing absentmindedly nodded as he clumsily combed the man's hair.

Not getting a response, Qi Shuangran turned away in displeasure, ignoring the fallen hair, and glared at the other

man, commanding, "Give me a smile!"

Si Cang Qing looked at him, slightly puzzled.

"Fine, don't smile!" Qi Shuangran said impatiently again, sitting back down, seemingly to himself, "That's really

too much, using a honey trap!" Worse still, he'd fallen for it! Waking up early in the morning, remembering last

night filled him with rage.

But ultimately, he lacked the energy to pursue the matter further. Oh well, since Si Cang Qing wanted to marry

him, why not? He was somewhat interested anyway, and it would save the other party from constantly flirting and

bringing back a bunch of women.

Thinking of this, Qi Shuangran spoke in a deep voice, "I'm telling you now, if you dare to get entangled with

anyone else again, you'll be sorry!"

Si Cang Qing's movements paused slightly, but he remained silent, carefully tying up his hair. As for getting

entangled with others… such a thing was impossible to happen again.

"And that Mo Qing Jue, I must kill him with my own hands!"

"Alright," Si Cang Qing suddenly spoke, pulling the other to his feet, and said calmly, "Let's have breakfast!"

"You're still thinking about him?"

Shaking off the other's hand, Qi Shuangran stared unfathomably at his face, unwilling to miss a single change in

his emotions, but it was all in vain.

Si Cang Qing's expression remained indifferent, only saying, "I won't stop you from doing what you want."

In his heart, that slight flutter of the heart was not as important as the safety of those around him... Having decided

to abandon them, he wouldn't linger.

Pursing his lips, Qi Shuangran, unusually serious, stared at the other for a long time. After a long while, he

suddenly laughed, kicking Si Cang Qing's leg, and said lazily, "What are you still standing there for? I'm almost

starving to death!"
